Dr. Barbara Barow earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Cook College of Rutgers University and received her V.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in Philadelphia. She hails from the City of Brotherly Love where most of her extended family still resides. She joined the staff of Foster Animal Hospital in March 2000 after relocating to New Jersey with her husband and two children. Although her main emphasis throughout her career as a veterinarian has been small animal general medicine and surgery, prior to veterinary school she spent three years as a research associate in the department of (human) neurosurgery at th Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia investigating the biochemical changes that occur in the brain after severe head injury. Dr. Barow enjoys spending time with her family on summer weekends at the south Jersey shore, and counts bicycling, tennis, reading and needlework among her hobbies. She also shares her home with two amazing felines: Ziggy and Zoe.
Dr. Abdalla Aziz received his Bachelor Degree from the School of Veterinary Medicine in Egypt in the year 1996. His post-graduate studies focused on Pathology and Immunology. He attended Tuskegee University in Alabama, where he earned his D.V.M degree in 2002. He then worked in private practices as a licensed veterinarian until he joined Foster Animal Hospital in 2004. Dr. Aziz embraces any learning opportunity that is available to him, such as veterinary conventions and continuing education lectures or seminars. His current interest is Small Animal Acupunture and he is currently persuing Acupuncture Certification. Dr. Aziz loves animals and believes it is a blessing to be able to treat and care for them. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife, two kids, and his playful cat, Kiki. His hobbies are reading, soccer and swimming.

Dr. Michael Izen completed his undergraduate studies at Brandeis University and then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. A native of Bergen County, Dr. Izen has practiced in Teaneck, Budd Lake and Jersey City prior to joining our team. Dr. Izen has special interest in internal medicine, especially endocrinology and nephrology. In his spare time he stays active playing in a couple adult soccer leagues. He also enjoys watching the sport as well as reading detective/mystery fiction. He also loves spending time with Sammy, his seven year old Westiepoo (west highland white terrier/miniature poodle mix).
